The TAMIYA model is a fully functional replica in scale 1:16 of the Leopard 2A6, as used in the Bundeswehr. The model performs all driving movements such as forward and reverse travel and turning on the spot. In order to realize the stepless steering of the original tank, a completely new gearbox was developed, which works with a 540 engine for the drive and one for the steering. In addition, a new single chain chain with separate chain cushions has been developed. The digital sound module generates all driving and engine sounds, the noise of the gun and tower drive as well as the shooting gun of the cannon (switchable to the sound of the machine gun). The tower reflects the turning movements. The cannon is automatically lifted when turning over the arm tail (rear deflector function). When the gun is actuated, a flashing light is generated in the pipe mouth, the tube is returned, the model "jerks" by briefly controlling the travel controller and the weapon runs for a few seconds into the loading position.

To facilitate the battery change, this is housed in the tower and thus very accessible. Last but not least, the entire vehicle lighting was reproduced in detail. Due to the complete new development of all components, this model is used to create a reality relation that has not yet existed. New standards are set for the area of ??functional model building.

LEOPARD 2A6, a top product of the German defense industry, was launched in eleven countries as the main armed forces system of the army. It is therefore also called EURO LEOPARD.
