Krick 20300 Felix Hafenbarkasse Baukasten

This model is the original replica of a Hamburg harbor ship. Partly used as a pure working and transport vehicle and partly as a tourist boat, almost everyone knows these pretty little barkasses, which are not to be imagined in the port of Hamburg.

Felix was recreated according to original shipyard plans of a Hamburg harbor yard. The aim of this design was to develop a modular system that combines the typical appearance with as simple a construction as possible. This has resulted in a beginners kit, which has not lost its originality. This kit is also an interesting piece for experienced model builders, not least because of its popular scale 1:25, which still leaves many possibilities open for many fine details.

The hull is made of high-quality ABS plastic with a molded keel, so that the installation of the steering stem and rudder offers no difficulties. Likewise, a bead for the floor plate and the water line is already marked on the fuselage, so that the beginner has no building problems.

All deck and body parts are carefully cut out with a laser beam and the simple plug-in system makes the construction extremely easy. Furthermore, various motor frames are included for different motor variants and the motor can be removed without problems with the mounting as well.

An electric motor with an articulated coupling is already included in the kit as a standard, together with the shaft steering rod and steering gear.

All hardware parts shown are prefabricated in wood or plastic. The detailed building instructions and a blueprint are specially designed for the beginner.

For the equipment with a radio remote control and for the driving operation you need the following equipment:

• Radio remote control min. 2 channels and a servo
• Speed ??controller 20 A, forward / reverse with BEC receiver power supply
• Fahrakku 7.2V / 2 Ah or lead accu 6V / 1.1 Ah
• Charger 220V or 12V operation

To build the model, you need the following adhesives, fillers and paints:

• Secondary glue thinly
• Two-component adhesive 5min epoxy 100g
• Wood glue UHU coll water resistant 210g
• Two-component adhesive UHU-Plus acrylit 30g
• Super-light filler
• sealer
• Primer (suitable for the color varnishes used)
• Clear lacquer (wheelhouse walls, bench seats, doors, mast and gaffle)
• Color spray red, black, brown, green and white
• Coating red and black (Fittings)

The following tool is the basic equipment for the construction of the Felix:

• Craft knives with breaking blades
• hand drill
• Sandpaper files, approx. 300 grit
• sanding block
• Round file approx. 6 mm
• Drill bits 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 6.5 mm
• Abrasive paper grit approx. 200 and 300
• Wet sandpaper 400 and 600 for pore filler, primer and varnish

PVC adhesive tape or paper adhesive tape is still required for masking during painting. No crepe tape! A 3 mm wide adhesive tape is used for masking the water line.
